Project summery
Expanding Minds built and manages the African American Chamber of Commerce of Western Pennsylvania website. The chamber has 700+ members. The website functions as an information portal and stores the member user accounts and their data in a search directory. In addition, the directory can locate business categories using keywords and search criteria such as location, business type, etc.
Implementation
The directory also allows members to renew their membership online, triggering the chamber admin when accounts have been paid. It also informs members and admin of upcoming or past-due renewals. Admin/client has complete backend CMS control and the ability to create new user accounts. However, new members can initiate accounts online, but they are not finalized without admin/client approval.
Additionally, the site has an extensive photo gallery that initiates category scrolling once the initial photo is selected. The site also has an online event engagement page that allows members to view upcoming events and register and pay event fees online. In addition, members can see how many tickets for each event are left before making their purchase. The site also reflects testimonials and interactive widgets that reflect engagement outcomes.

The African American Chamber of Commerce of Western Pennsylvania’s ability to be available online is critically important to it’ client base.
